Have you met loving Daisy? Also known as Margaret Atwood for our Great Canadian Adoption event! Daisy came to the shelter in April when her owner could no longer take care of her. Daisy got to spend some time in a loving foster home and is now ready to find a home to call her own! Daisy is an older gal that likes the simple things in life - a quiet home where she can relax and a loving family! Daisy would be happiest in a home with no small children as she does get nervous around lots of noise and activity. She'd likely adapt to calm furry friends as long as she's introduced properly. Daisy also came to us declawed and would need to be strictly an indoor-only kitty! Sadly her declawing has left her with painful feet and she often limps. Pain management will need to be considered for the rest of Daisy's life to help keep her comfortable and happy! If you can offer this sweet senior girl a home to call her own then come visit her today, she can't wait to see you!

About Guelph Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

Since 1893, the Guelph Humane Society has been providing care and shelter for homeless, stray and abused animals. Each year we serve approximately 3,000 animals in need. We provide animal sheltering, surrender, and adoption services, pet identification, and lost pet returns. The Guelph Humane Society is supported by a fantastic group of volunteers who help make our Foster Program possible, and our Working Cat program helps give felines a second chance at a new life! We also provide regular veterinary care and have a progressive spay/neuter program.

As an affiliate of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) we employ an OSPCA Inspector and Agents to investigate and enforce allegations of cruelty or neglect in Guelph and Wellington County under provincial and federal animal cruelty legislation. We are also a member and strong supporter of the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies.

Our Humane Values Program is one of the largest in North America, visiting schools in Wellington County regularly. Children participate in welfare and animal safety based curriculum delivered by our Humane Values Educator. We also offer a weekday Humane Values Club, a March Break Camp and Summer Camp programs.

For more information please do not hesitate to contact Guelph Humane Society at 519-824-3091, or check out our website at www.guelphhumane.ca.
