Hank's Story...
Hank is one of the most beautiful yellow Labs ever! He is a special needs Lab. Hank is blind. He has probably been blind since birth. He doesn't know he can't see and uses his other senses to find his way. His foster dad has been training him and feels he is ready to go to a new home that can make a few accommodations for him. He doesn't need that much, just a fenced yard and a regular routine.

Adopt A Lab heard about Hank and agreed to take him from one of our member shelters. His family dropped him off at the shelter and said they were moving. They didn't even bother to tell the shelter staff he was blind. The poor guy was all alone with no family and no one that understood him! Fortunately Adopt A Lab placed him in a foster home right away. He has thrived with us.

Hank is house trained and crate trained. He is a young boy of only about 2 years and has many years to give the right family. Please help us help Hank.

If you would like to adopt Hank, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hank, a Boston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
