Jack is extremely intelligent and active, both physically and mentally. He is a high energy dog that thrives on having a job to do which will keep him busy, tired and happy. Jack is definitely not a couch potato and because he loves the water so much, he might do very well with canine sports such as dock diving. He loves people and is the kind of dog that will want to be part of all family activities. Jack will be a loyal and devoted friend to his owner or family and will respond well to consistent, positive training. He is house-trained with a doggie door. Other dogs may be a challenge for Jack if he is not well-socialized with them.

Jack is friendly with strangers and because of his size and tendency to jump up on people, he may be too much for young children. Jack is always ready for adventure and would be a wonderful companion for the adopter that is very active and will spend time with him and work on his training.
