Piper is an outgoing girl who enjoys people and is ok with dogs and other cats also. She had a severe mouth infection when we received her. It had progressed until the roots of her teeth were exposed, no doubt causing her a lot of pain. She was underweight probably because she was not eating well. After her dental surgery to remove most of the infected/exposed teeth, she is feeling great and eating like a champ. She requires a canned food diet, she eats very little dry food. She occasionally has had inflammation reoccur so the adopter will need to be willing to watch her for behavior changes and less appetite so that she can be given an injection for the inflammation. Safe Home Rescue will pay for any of the continued care needed for the inflammation if it is done at our vet in Des Moines/Clive. Piper is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and she tested negative for FIV/FELV. She was also front declawed. The adoption fee for an adult cat is $40.
