Hi, Loki here! The Ruff ladies told me I'm the definition of a "hot mess" and should ask for a foster home. I don't even know what a hot mess is, but it probably means very handsome, right? So here's the deal. My last owners weren't very attentive so I'm skinny, I've got skin abrasions, both of my ears are infected aaaaand I was hit by a car. My name used to be Lucky, but my goodness! As you can see, I've got a great sense of humor. I'm also gentle, well-mannered, and I don't treat the house like a toilet. I think I'm pretty awesome!

Update: Loki needs an older kid or adult only home.

About Ruff Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Ruff Dog Rescue, Inc. ("RDR") is a NO KILL, foster-based, non-profit, 501(c)3 all-breed pet rescue located in Milton, GA.

Through the collaborated efforts of our dedicated volunteers, we rescue dogs and cats from Georgia's High/Quick KILL shelters and place them in foster homes until suitable, permanent homes are found. Our foster families aim to nurture, socialize and train the rescues to facilitate their development while they await adoption.

At RDR we also strive to educate the public to reduce the homeless pet population by spaying and neutering, and to adopt-not shop! Our group is founded on the principle that no animal should die unwanted or unloved. We turn Ruff Starts into New Beginnings. RDR is solely funded by adoption fees and donations.

How You Can Help! With the huge numbers of unwanted dogs and cats in the South, the animals depend on all of us to save them. You can make a difference in RDR's mission in many ways. We are always looking to add to our network of compassionate foster families. We accept fosters living in the Atlanta metro and north Georgia areas. Please visit our website and fill out a Foster Application at if you’re interested and we’ll be in touch!

We also need volunteers in a number of capacities, including administrative support staff, marketing and advertising, accounting, transport, helping at adoption events, walking/running dogs, and even "liking" and sharing our Ruff Dog Rescue GA Facebook page. If you are interested in becoming a RDR volunteer, please use the Contact Us page on our website.

Donations of funds and supplies are desperately needed and greatly appreciated. The Ruff Crew and pups rely heavily on compassionate people and organizations tax-deductible contributions to fuel our mission of animal rescue. To make a monetary donation please visit our "Donate" page on our website.

We are in persistent need of the following supplies:

- New or lightly used blankets, towels, pet toys, medium/large kennels, exercise pens, leashes, collars (small puppy size to medium adult size), walking harnesses (Easy Walk Harnesses), and outdoor kennel runs;

- Dog food (protein first ingredient), treats and rawhides; and

- Puppy Potty/Training Pads

Donations may be dropped off at either adoption events or at our Milton, GA facility, Monday – Friday, 1:00-4:00pm. Please text 770-843-3334 to schedule a drop-off or if a pickup is needed for larger items.

It's all about the rescues at RDR; all funds received go directly to helping a dog/cat in need. No administrative fees or salaries are deducted or paid. The volunteers of RDR give endlessly of their time. Meet the Ruff Crew and see the passion and dedication. Thank you in advance for your support of RDR.
