DASHER IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME ....
And that should be easy, because our guy Dasher is an AWESOME dog!
Dasher came to our rescue in April from Ledyard Animal Control. He had landed in the pound as a result of a hoarding situation.
When we brought Dasher in to the rescue he was a bit of a "hot mess". He had a severe skin condition - the result of prior flea infestation. While at the pound treatment had been started - and we continued treating it when he came to us. He tested positive for both exposure to both Lyme Disease and anaplasmosis (another tick-borne illness) with no symptoms and was treated for that as well, as well as being treated for ear infections in both ears. Finally, he had severe dental issues that required extensive dental surgery.
In spite of all that, Dasher, from the moment we met him, has been the sweetest dog EVER!
He is a pure bred cocker spaniel, about 9 years old - and he is truly a gentle soul.
Dasher loves everyone - people of all ages, dogs, and cats. He is living in a home with a number of other dogs and does well with all of them, as well as with the resident kitty. He is just fine with children - even small children.
He will make an amazing, wonderful addition to the lucky family who adopts him!
After all he's been through, we would love to find Dasher an extra special retirement home quickly, where he can relax and share love with a wonderful forever family.
