Lefty's Story...
N/M, 10 months, Jack Russel Terrier/Beagle mix

Howdy! I'm Lefty! My name was inspired by my charmingly askew ears.
But my ears are not the only thing that's charming about me! I'm cute,
sweet, friendly, fun, and just an all-around wonderful guy.

How did I wind up at MaxFund, you ask? Good question — I'm not sure! I
was lost, and still dragging my leash behind me when a kind person
found me and brought me here. So I may have inadvertently gotten away
from my human somehow. But no one ever came over to claim me, so their
loss may be YOUR gain!

It's my dream to live in a home with a nice backyard so I can run
around, explore, and be my active self! Given my heritage, I think
I'll remain reasonably compact, so I'll do fine in a small home and
small backyard. But make sure it's well-fenced, please! I'm smart
enough to find my way out of just about any place, and I sure don't
want to get lost ever again!

At 10 months, I'm still a puppy. So you'll need to be prepared for the
things that come with puppyhood. Whether a puppy will grow up to be a
first-rate canine citizen is directly dependent on the effort that the
family puts in. It's my ambition to be the best canine citizen ever,
so I'd like a family whose ambitions match mine!

Do you have the time and patience to teach me the things I need to
know? Will you be around most of the time, so I don't get lonely or
bored? Will you watch me carefully, so I don't chew up your shoes,
electrical cords, or furniture? Will you make sure that I'm never in a
yard unattended? Will you forgive my occasional "accidents"? Will you
take me through Puppy Kindergarten? Will you give me the best in
nutritious foods, so that I'll grow up healthy and strong? Will you
give me lots of walks and supervised play and exercise? And most
importantly, will you love me, forever and ever and ever?

Sounds like a tall order, but these are all things that a puppy like
me will need. And trust me, I will repay all the time and effort you
put in to raise me by being the best, most loyal, fun, and loving dog
in the whole world!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lefty, a Denver Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle for sale in Denver, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
