Hi there! My name is Dinges! I am a cute little 1-year-old Chihuahua mix who came to Heartland from an animal shelter in Kentucky. It was a long way to come but I am happy to be here where I know I will find my happy life! I am a fun energetic boy and love going for walks! Once I get my exercise, I love to relax on a friend's lap for some cuddle time and will give little kisses! I will provide lots of fun in my forever home, so come on in to meet me soon!

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
