My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is GILBERT. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

Wanna know more about me? OK, here goes! I am a Lab/Retriever mix. I am 2.5 years old. I weigh 52 pounds. I have had all of my shots and been neutered. YIKES! I am also potty-trained using a doggie door. I'm a smart cookie - I learned the doggie door right off the bat.

I'm a little shy at first but, once I warm up to you or anyone else, I'm your friend and buddy for life!

Can you stand hearing more good stuff about me? I am a happy and, basically, calm boy. Everyone who knows me says I am a super sweet big guy. I have a doggie friend, Gabby. We are thick as thieves. So, I know I really like girl doggies, but I'd like a boy doggie, too, if you have one. If you don't, that's OK too. I'll be your one and only. I love being loved on and giving back love to my peeps.

Oh, how I would love to have my own home and some peeps to cuddle with and they could love me and take good care of me. That is my first dream! My second dream is all about treats and playing and romping with my new family. Ah, I can see it all now!

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email puppalace2011@gmail.com and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, neutering, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)
