Peppy maybe small, but he has a big heart and is the whole package!
Peppy joined our organization after being picked up as a stray and brought in by animal
control. Just can't imagine this little man out there fending for himself. Peppy has proven that his
"time out on the streets" did not diminish his good attitude and warm personality. He is currently
residing in foster care and just thriving!! His Foster Mom has conveyed to us so many wonderful
things regarding dear Peppy. He is house trained and does not mark inside. A huge plus!! Peppy is
crate trained and will go in by himself to sleep or just chill. He is a pretty smart little fellow and
would be receptive to future training easily. Took his Foster Mom only about 4-5 repetitions for him to
understand that if she points to the crate door and says "crate" that means he should hop in.
Peppy gets along well with other pups. Is being fostered with three other dogs. Two males and one
female. He thoroughly enjoys his daily walks/hikes with his foster siblings. Actually, should say; Peppy
absolutely loves going on walks. Once you put his collar and leash on, he will start dancing in circles and
jumping up and down. Now if that isn't pure happiness; not sure what is. Lol On his daily walks, he
enjoys his spurts of running around, sniffing (of course!), and then will settle into a nice pace. Peppy is
polite on the leash, and even though he is tiny; will keep up a fast even pace. Hence is name Peppy! ;-)
Then comes relaxing and cuddle time - the best part! Peppy is now enjoying the spoils of being a house
pet, once again. He loves to snuggle, be carried and just plain old fashioned being loved! Just wants to
be petted and scratched. His favorite - the belly rub! If you dare to stop, he will paw the air and attempt
to get you to resume his beloved belly rub.
Peppy is not spooky or territorial in any manner. A great low-key pup in the home or a pup that could
easily be taken into an office environment. Peppy is a friendly, loving, eager to please, sweet, happy pup.
