Rascal is a two-year-old, 54 pound Golden Retriever mix with a loving and charming personality. He is a very happy dog that likes to snuggle with his humans. Rascal initially suffers from mild separation anxiety early on in a home, but has been staying with a trainer in Canton for a while and that is improved. He now crates beautifully as needed. We think he is part Husky and can easily climb a fence to see what's in the neighborhood. So he needs a home with a privacy fence he cannot jump or a home willing to take the time to let him get used to their home by being in the yard with him, perhaps with a long lead, until he feels at home. Once he settles in and learns to trust you, he wants to be with you and should not try to jump the fence. He does the typical Husky "huffing" at the fence to other dogs, so we think Rascal would be happiest as an only dog so that he can bask in your attention and love. But with proper introduction and time, he could be fine with the right doggie friend. Rascal needs a chance to show you his loving personality and eagerness to please. He is young, would be a great exercise companion and has a lot to give. Contact Triad Golden Retriever Rescue, 336 288 9944 line 2 or tgrr@tgrr.org

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
