My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Reecee and I’m happy to meet you. Well actually I’m happy to meet everybody but I know you are going to be my latest favorite. I am a beautiful 8 year old girl with a coat of many colors. I appear to be a terrier mix with whiskey colored eyes.

I grew up with my original parents and doggie sister. When they could no longer care for me a nice lady got me to this wonderful rescue group and on to my current foster mom. I make friends easy and the change of address was no problem for me. I like people, dogs, people, cats, people…..well you get the idea. I still haven’t figured out what the things in the pasture are with their long tails and manes but I think I even like them too. Cats are no problem as long as they are sitting still. If they start to run, it is game on and I want to play too. I am extremely smart with a small bit of the terrier attitude but I quickly pick up the household routine and fit right in. I am housebroken and crate trained. If you are looking for a small (around 20 pounds) beautifully colored, love bug of a dog then I’m your girl. I can run and play or curl up and love. I am the all around perfect dog.

I had to visit the vet a few weeks back to have a small cyst removed from my side. My wonderful vet said “It was a grade two mast cell. This means it could come back or never reappear. Grade two are really funky things because they can go either way. We may never have another problem with it.” I just want my future family to know my history.

I love attention and my perfect family will be willing to give me lots of it. I never meet a stranger and won’t ever turn away a treat or hug. If you are looking for two dogs, give my doggie sister Ruby a look or two. She’s looking for her furever home too and we would love to be adopted together if you have room.
