On June 23, 2016, my fiancé found Clyde in a ditch on Maple Springs Road in Dayton TN. Clyde had been starving for quite some time when he found him, so Daniel brought him home to feed and care for him, in hopes he would survive. Luckily, he made it!

Our time with Clyde has been great! He is a very loving dog and gets along well with our other animals; dogs, puppies, cats and even chickens. I believe he does well with our pets because he knows they are family, I am not sure how he would do around a stray cat. When he first arrived at our home, the other male dog wanted to show he was the "alpha male" at the house, and would try to push Clyde to fighting, but Clyde would not have any part of it. He does not like to fight!

Clyde is great with people of all ages. Since being at our home, he has been around my son, who was 1-year old when we found him, my nieces and nephews aging 2 years- 10 years, elderly people and every age in-between.He will greet anyone that pulls into the driveway, whether he knows them or not (maybe not the best guard dog).

Clyde has never tried to bite anyone, he may knock down little kids by trying to love on them, but he has never hurt anyone since we’ve had him. He doesn’t seem to know his size, he thinks he is a lap dog and loves to cuddle.

We have kept Clyde outside with our other dogs, but I believe he may have once been an inside dog. When we first brought him home with us, he constantly wanted to come inside.

He likes to jump the fence (which is 5ft tall) whenever he feels like exploring the fields by our house. I don’t recommend fencing him in a neighborhood, because he may do the same thing at his future home.

Lastly, I would like to mention that Clyde is very scared of thunderstorms. He will try to run into the house when it storms, or the garage- anywhere to seek shelter.

I hate to have to find Clyde another home, but I pray he can find a family that loves him as much as we do. A family that could keep him inside, take him for walks and just give him the attention he needs. Please do not let him go to a home where he will be chained up. That would be devastating. He is too good of a dog to be left out on a chain.

About Pooches & Purrs Cooperative -Cincinatti

About Our Rescue Group...

Pooches And Purrs is a cooperative of great rescues in the East Tennessee
area that works hard to re-home dogs up into loving homes in the northeast and Ohio areas.

Our dogs are mainly fostered in TN with loving families. We have many
terrific dogs looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and
neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of
them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $500 covers
their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well
as their transportation to your area.

Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Ohio area.
Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our
dogs are brought up to their new owners twice a month! We have a 14 day money back
guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things don't work out. We
try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life
together!

To date we have placed thousands of dogs and puppies in loving Homes!
