Hi, I'm Dewey and I'm a sweet boy full of wiggles and sweetness. I'm a handsome guy who's a huge lover of my two legged friends. I'm a people dog! I'm always excited to interact with people, play with them and even accept their belly rubs ;) Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the four legged variety, so I must be the only animal in the home. Hey, no worries, I'm going to give you all the love and companionship you can handle! I'm full of wiggles and fun. I know "sit" , seem to be housetrained (of course be understanding as I adjust), and do pretty well on a leash. I'm very treat motivated - watch those fingers! - so I just bet I can learn just about anything you want to teach me. Your canine co-pilot I long to be, so please come soon to the Indy GPSPCA! Wiggles and wags, Dewey

Our Adoption Process...

Great Plains SPCA has bi-state Pet Adoption Centers in Merriam, KS and Independence, MO with expert matchmakers ready to find you the perfect furry family member. Let us help grow your family!

Basic Adoption Requirements:

Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.

For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.

Pet adoption fees range from $45 to $250. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
