Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sequoyah is adorable, pert and very, very smart! She is from a "Schnoodle" type momma dog, and definitely favors the terrier side, with a little Poodle sweetness stirred in ;) She's independent in spirit but can be quite engaging, loves belly rubs and to take treats, and is always thinking. This is one smart little girl. The mother to this litter comes out of a hoarding situation and was scared of the world when first raising her pups, so they didn't get the best first imprint. Sequoyah was the most affected and had a very poor stress response as a young puppy. She has come a long way and is barely recognizable from those early days.....she is confident and well adjusted....but with that back history belongs only in a dog savvy home that can commit to the ongoing need for socialization. She is one of the smaller puppies in the litter and our guesstimate for size would be 20-25 lbs.
THE RIGHT HOME for Sequoyah, as noted, needs to be dog savvy and both understanding and embracing of socialization principles. There should be a preparedness to be very out and about with this girl as she grows. She is incredibly smart, which can be a blessing and a curse, so early training is recommended. Due to the sensitive nature of this litter, we can not adopt to homes with toddlers...only gentle children who can follow instructions well. Sequoyah is socialized to kids and gets along great with other dogs and cats.
