Patches's Story...
Meet Patches! He is 8-12 months old, and believed to be a Maltese/Terrier mix. Patches was rescued from Tijuana, Mexico, but is now a proud US citizen! Little Patch is the absolute perfect puppy. He loves everyone (dogs and people alike), loves to play, and loves cuddles! He is very outgoing and wants to say ‘hi’ to every dog he sees on his walkies. Patches is doing well with learning basic commands (sit, stay, come, stop), but he is still just a puppy who needs attention and training. More than anything though, he is a sweet, affectionate love bug who is looking for a family to love and spoil him. Patches is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and almost fully house trained. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting little Patches, please fill out an online adoption application at https://www.theanimalpad.org/adopt-today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a San Diego Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
