Stanley's Story...
7 years old, White and Tan. Shih Tsu. Stanley sounds like such a big name for our adorable 13 pound little man who is "perfectly" delightful. He languished in the shelter way too long and instead of bounding to the front of the cage to greet everyone he thought it best to stay in the back and observe. This was not going to get him rescued until a volunteer decided to go in with him and interact. That was all it took. His tail started wagging, his tongue was licking her face and Perfect Pet said "yes". What a great dog. Quiet, friendly and is ready to make his new home yours. BTW--he loves to roll over and have his tummy rubbed. If you are prone to allergies his coat does not shed. He is neutered, micro chipped and current on his shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stanley, a Los Angeles Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
