Hello hello! Don't worry, you aren't seeing double: we really are a dynamic duo that is looking for a forever home together! My name is Cookie and my sweet son is Luke; if you are looking for not one, but two amazing, loving, and endlessly entertaining BFFs, please consider making us a part of your family because we are available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation and Chicagoland Dog Rescue. These two groups joined together to save our lives when we showed up at Chicago Animal Care & Control because they could see how bonded we are and had to give us a new chance at a happily ever after! Could that be with you?

I am a 2-year-old, gorgeous Shar-Pei/American Pit Bull mix, and my dashingly handsome son Luke is about 1-year-old. I am about 35 pounds and have beautiful white and tan fur; I use my gorgeous chocolate eyes to stare adoringly at my favorite people. Luke is about 45 pounds with white and brindle swirls in his fur. We are a good-looking pair, but our personalities are even better! I am the more outgoing of the two of us (Luke is young and looks to me for instruction; who can blame him for being such a momma's boy when his momma is as awesome as me?) Luke can be shy with new people, but once he sees me say hello he opens up very quickly. We have made quite a few new human friends; everyone tells us how much they love us! We are also having a great time at our foster home: we have a big fenced yard there and we LOVE to romp and play in the wide, open space. So we would have to have a fenced yard at our forever home to enjoy. We like to be active and are a little mischievous, so having a big space to play is definitely ideal! When we are all tired out from our play sessions, we love to curl up together with our foster mommy and dole out lots and lots of sweet kisses.

We are becoming good roommates and working to improve our manners more and more every day! We would love a patient family who will continue to help us be our best selves. We are working on perfecting potty training and learning to let foster mommy know when we have to go do our business. With continued practice and a consistent schedule, we will have it down in no time! We are crate trained and can be left to hang out with each other for up to eight hours in our extra large crate to entertain ourselves and take some cuddly naps together. Since we are young, when foster mommy comes home we like to spend lots of time playing and burning our energy in fun ways. We have even learned the command sit already and would love to learn more! Fetching Tails Foundation likes to encourage all adopters to attend training classes with their new pups, and we think we would greatly benefit from the chance to socialize, bond with our new family, and see just how smart we can become by learning all the fun tricks and commands we hear they teach you in class. Foster mommy says we take corrections well and learn fast, so I bet we would be the class co-valedictorians in no time! We also love car rides, so we would love to go on adventures with you!

If you think two dogs are better than one, and want to give us our happily ever after together, please contact our friends at Fetching Tails and CDR soon and tell them you want double the fun with Cookie and Luke! We can't wait to start our lives and adventures with you!

XOXO,
Cookie (and Luke!)
