Sugarbear's Story...
This is Sugar Bear, a 2 yr old female German shepherd. She is every bit as sweet as her name implies. She loves hanging out with her people. After she gets to know you and her new surroundings, she will be great off leash; however, she can’t be left alone outside. She will scale any fence to get back to her family. Sugar Bear has had basic obedience training and is house trained. She is also kennel crate trained. She likes nothing better than to lie at your feet or share the couch with you. She is friendly and loving to all humans but is not too fond of other dogs. She has shown curiosity, but no aggression, toward cats. She looks at chickens but cannot be bothered chasing them. She must not be tied and she must be allowed in the house. She needs to be able to get out time and hang out.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugarbear, a Manassas German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Manassas, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Manassas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manassas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manassas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manassas paves the way for another one to be saved.
