Facts about Taz

  • Breed: Rottweiler Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 11745298-35730075

Taz was picked up by Animal Control as a stray on June 22 and was brought to YWAC. His owner came the same day and reclaimed him, but four days later he was again picked up as a stray and this time his owner did not reclaim him despite being contacted by YWAC and saying that she would. So now Taz is available for adoption. He is about 4 years old

I was brought into the shelter on 5/25/17 after being hit by a car. After they took x-rays it showed that I had a broken pelvis, fracture left hind leg and severe road rash on the right leg. My right hind leg with the road rash is all healed up after multiple bandage changes. There will be no need for any follow up care on right hind leg. My left leg had surgery to pin the femur. My pelvis is healing on its own. My follow up care is I need low and monitored activity. When being left alone I will need to be crated so I do not hurt myself. My left leg will need to be x-rayed again in about 5 weeks (around 8/18/17) which we will do here at Young-Williams Animal Center. The doctors are also telling me that I will need to be on joint supplements forever. I would prefer to be an only dog or with a dog that is very low energy. I would like to be with a calm and quite family. I am very smart and already know sit, down, shake, and stay. I am potty trained and will let you know when I need to go out. I would enjoy just sitting on the couch and watching TV with you.

All Dog YWAC Adoptions Include: spay/neuter before leaving our facility, preliminary health check, vaccinations, de-wormer, heartworm test and monthly preventative, flea treatment, and a Microchip!!
