My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Reckless, a three year old German Shepherd.
HiWelcome Reckless (don't let the name fool you, he's a sweetheart). Reckless was pulled about a week ago from Cleveland County Animal Control in NC. He was an owner surrender and on the kennel card they put "it's not his fault". Poor Reckless was scared and confused in the shelter not knowing what was going on. He did what any scared dog would do, he barked (tail wagging and he tried hiding). Thanks to three great volunteers (Deb, Shelly and Aliceia) they knew it wasn't aggression. They went down to the shelter and worked with him to make him feel safe and it worked. He came right out of his shell, took treats and loved every minute of it.

This boy is very affectionate and will wag his whole body in excitement. He's 3 years old, gets along with other dogs and did great on a cat test (was leashed) but foster said he was very gentle and nuzzled the cat several times.

Reckless is timid at first with strangers but very loving and playful when he gets to know you. He loves attention! We are not sure about children since he has not been around them. He is very scared of storms. This handsome boy will need some social training but will make a good dog.

Reckless is in need of a loving home to go to on 7/29 when he arrives in NJ.
