Meet Zella, who is so incredibly adorable that everyone who meets her kind of gasps!
She is approxima
tely 3 years old and came to us from another shelter where they had thought she had been used as a bait dog. It sounds like she had a rough start in life, but you would never know it from the joy that exudes from this girl. She is on the smaller side, so she is not much of a puller and she loves getting out for runs. She does great in the car, and there is nothing cuter than the site of her little face out of the car window, taking in the sights and enjoying the breeze! She can be a little timid at times, but she is so loving and fond of everyone she has met. She will crawl right up in your lap for kisses or even let you pick her up and carry her around! She doesn't seem to be crazy about other dogs and cats aren't high on her list either, but if you have a home where she can be your only pet, Zella would make an incredible addition to your family!

About Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster based rescue, but do also have a small shelter. You can contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com to setup an appointment to come out and check out some of our adoptables.

Our Adoption Process...

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.
