Ruby's Story...

If you would like to adopt, please fill out an application at The adoption fee, including transportation to NY with vetting paperwork, microchip registration to adopter, collar & harness, is $200.

Ruby is 8 years old and 15 lbs. She is an older gal but still has a lot of life and energy in her. Ruby loves going for walks and adventures outdoors. She is a fence digger so Ruby needs a secure fence or a family that is willing to walk her often on leash. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. We are waiving Ruby's adoption fee due to her age and size. She is a little big for our rescue but we could nor say no to this smile. Transport fee still applies if adopted out of Texas.

Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. All of our adoptable dogs are located in the San Antonio area. Additional photos and videos will be made available to potential adopters upon approval of our online adoption application. Transport arrangements will be made upon application approval and completion of the adoption agreement.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Buffalo Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Buffalo, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
