Bubba's Story...

Hi, I am Bubba and I was turned into the animal shelter loaded with ticks and sores with 14 other unfortuneate canines.  I was one of the lucky ones who made it out into rescue.  I am between 5 and 6 years old and am a handsome fella, even if I do have to say it for myself.  I am sweet and laid back and quiet.  I am getting used to the petting and loving and am learning to do the basset head butt for some extra attention.  I learn fast and already know how to give snooter kisses.  They say that a rescue dog knows he has been rescued and loves more than the regular dog who hasn't had a neglected life, let me prove it to you!  Ask about adopting me, Bubba! PS.  Obviously, this is my shelter shot, so I hope to have a glamor shot soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bubba, a Charleston Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Charleston, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Charleston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charleston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charleston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charleston paves the way for another one to be saved.
