Nesbitt's Story...

Hello there, My name is Nesbitt. My foster Momma calls me Nezzie. I finally got rid of those nasty heartworms, so I am ready to go when you are. I am a very handsome boy of around 3 in my opinion my pictures don't do me justice. I am Tri colored and I am told I have wonderful freckles, and nice long ears. I am a very fun playful boy. I love to be the center of attention, and be the 1st one to be petted. I am a great wrestler just ask my foster dad, he gets on the floor and plays with me and my foster brother. I am very sweet and love to cuddle while giving you some sloppery kisses. I am also a great shadow I follow foster Momma around everywhere, I even lay outside the bathroom door and wait on her to come out. I am playful with kids and other dogs, but there is one down fall, my food is mine and what ever falls on the floor is mine. Foster momma is trying to teach me that from now on I will always have food and I don't need to fight for it. I have made lots of progress, but she recommends that I go to a home that don't have young kids although I love kids it's just for the best. Now as for other dogs I do get along with my foster siblings, but when it's chow time I am not willing to share, so foster momma feels I have to eat in my own space. If you are willing to love me unconditionally even with my minor faults, I promise to be a loyal hound to you. So whataya say will you please take a chance on me. If you will... just ask about Nesbitt or Nezzie which ever you prefer. I'll have my bags packed in a jiffy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nesbitt, a Charleston Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Charleston, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Charleston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charleston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charleston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charleston paves the way for another one to be saved.
