Annie B's Story...

Little Orphan Annie B is the name - looking for my Daddy or Momma Warbucks, and you don't even have to be affluent to win me over, just a kind and loving soul that I can spend the rest of my forever with. Winning hearts over still from my first pass through the great CBHR, I find myself homeless as my owner can no longer care for me. Somewhat sad, yet eternally optimistic - I am a sweetheart blessed with the most bassety of features  and am in hopes that you can come and rescue me again! If you're looking for a sophisticated beauty with personality to spare who is far from as old as my number, fill out an application and tell them you bet your bottom dollar, my sun will come out tomorrow! 05/07/12

To apply online or to see other available basset hounds, go to www.cbhr.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annie B, a Charleston Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Charleston, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Charleston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charleston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charleston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charleston paves the way for another one to be saved.
