Victoria's Story...
Courtesy Listing - ARM is NOT taking applications for Vickie, please use the contact at the end of her description.
Victoria (Vickie) is a three year old purebred that is typical Aussie; very smart, athletic, loyal, sensitive, with lots of energy and always wanting a job to do (chase a ball or Frisbee, herd other dogs at the dog park, take a walk or car ride, learn a new skill or trick…).

She likes to tell us when anyone comes to the house or seems threatening and she enjoys an occasional dig in the backyard. Sometimes she is cautious with strangers but once you’ve earned her trust she will want to constantly be by your side (helping you, watching over you, playing with you, sleeping by your side…). She loves to cuddle, has a sweet personality and is very eager to please. We took her thru a beginner’s training class and she graduated as a rock star, showing a desire to continue with training (she would do great with agility training and already loves to run thru a tunnel in addition to knowing sit, stay, come, shake, up, down, speak, jump and being potty trained).

She deserves her own forever home where she can gets lots of fun things to learn and do (she has been around our small dogs and our daughter’s cats but small dogs and cats may be an issue to consider). She needs a fenced yard, companionship and plenty of opportunity to do things, though she shows no signs of wanting to run away. She loves positive reinforcement and encouragement. We will be carefully reviewing applicants for Vickie to make sure she finds the best possible forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Victoria, a Minneapolis Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
