My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One-year-old Timmy is a hopeful pup. Despite being dealt an unlucky hand his first go-round, he is open-hearted and curious; he can’t wait to see what each new day will bring!

Timmy was found next to the interstate, when he peered out of the woods at just the right time for a passerby to see him. He was shy for all of 30 seconds before he ran into the arms of the girl who found him. He couldn’t have shown more joy to be reunited with a human. Even though his previous owners abandoned him, Timmy loves every person he meets. He will be a great companion for whoever adopts him. He is potty-trained and already knows a few commands like sit, wait, off, and toy. He has proven himself to be very smart, picking up on these after just a few attempts. Treats definitely sweeten the deal!

No matter your lifestyle, Timmy will be a great friend. He thoroughly enjoys car rides and is well-behaved (just don’t roll your window down too far – he loves a good smell). He likes being outside, so he would probably enjoy hiking or visiting parks with you. At the same time, he can happily keep himself occupied with just a few toys at home – Kongs are his favorite. After a long day of work, his company could be exactly what you need.

Timmy is in full health. He has been neutered and his shots are up to date. He is on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention, all of which should be continued in his new home. If you would like to come and meet him, please contact us to set up an appointment. He will be excited to meet you!

Timmy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

*PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT RURALANIMALRESCUEEFFORT.ORG

**An application and home visit are required prior to adoption. All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have. Our ability to perform out of state adoptions is limited and reviewed on a case by case basis. If you are not in TN, please ask us about the potential of adopting the specific animal you are interested in.

Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption. Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE! Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information.

***Please Note*** The breeds noted are guesses on the part of the volunteers of RARE based on the physical characteristics of the particular animal. We are not breed experts and cannot afford to perform DNA tests; therefore, the noted breeds may not be exact.
