Imagine living only within the confines of a small apartment with a bunch of your friends for most of your life. Suddenly, you're thrust into a new world with strange people, scary sights and sounds, and missing the company of your trusted pals. That's kind of Marcel's situation. His person became homeless and moved his whole pack of Chihuahuas (12 of them!) into his car, until that living situation became untenable. Then Marcel and all of his companions were brought here.

Marcel doesn't know what to make of the world right now. He's quite shivery and insecure, but he will settle into a warm lap to feel safe. From that place he will accept gentle petting and begin to relax. As an under-socialized adult, Marcel may never feel confident in the big wide world, but he will probably bond very closely to his new people. A quiet, adult home will be best for Marcel. Eventually, he may learn to trust visitors and discover the joy of toy play. Marcel might even enjoy outings and adventures if introduced carefully to new surroundings. There's a special dog in Marcel who is waiting to show his true colors; he just needs patience and plenty of TLC from you.
