My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It is absolutely BAFFLING to us that Spot has not been adopted. Spot is an absolute wonderful dude. Spot came to us as a stray that appeared to have been running the streets his entire life. He was covered in dirt, didn't know people, wasn't potty trained, and was an all around mess, but we could still tell there was something special.

After a bath and some love from our volunteers, Spot became OBSESSED with people. He is so grateful to be off the streets that now he is in LOVE with all people he meets. He can take a few minutes to warm up to new people, but win him over with treats, and then he is yours forever. Spot is absolutely amazing with other dogs. He can handle dogs growling at him, dogs playing with him, and even puppies crawling all over! Spot is so incredibly good with dogs, that we used him to introduce our now adopted blind dog to his canine friends. Spot became a temporary seeing eye dog for Debo until he could be adopted into his new family!

Spot went into foster care with a senior male dog and a very pushy 1 year old, high-energy pup. He did GREAT with both dogs and knows exactly what to do to make each dog comfortable. When outside with his pup friends he is a crazy man running around and playing. However, he knows to flip the switch when he goes inside! Inside he settles down nicely onto a comfy bed or chair and will lay down for naps and cuddles, and BOY can this dog cuddle. Get ready for tongue out, drooling, snoring, 40 lb dog on your lap cuddles!

Spot has been nose to nose with both kittens and cats and seems to be fine with them! He did not attempt to chase and walked away when they hissed at him!

Spot started 3 months ago with absolutely no tricks and is now potty trained, knows sit, and somewhat knows lay down and crawl. What more could you want?

Thank you for your interest in adopting from the FACE Low Cost Animal Clinic. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. The adoption fee for dogs is just $75. If you're interested in knowing more please email our adoption coordinator at adoptions@facespayneuter.org
