My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh my gosh! Are you my new furever parents? I'm Zeus--yes, just like the Greek God only I don't have the temper my namesake was reputed to have! I am currently just under 70 pounds and so pale a yellow as to be almost white. When the great people at DLRR got me I had been abandoned and sick for a long time so my recovery is taking a while. I am a laid-back guy who would love to just spend the day laying at your feet and being petted. I get along with every human I've ever met and other dogs too (I currently have 2 foster brothers and a foster sister.) I've been around a cat for a short period of time and didn't really pay any attention to it--but now that I'm starting to feel better if a cat runs I may decide to chase. My foster mom says I'm a "medical needs" boy because I have Valley Fever (a fungal disease that has settled in my bones causing me to limp and not feel good) and stomach issues so I need daily antibiotics to keep me on track so will likely need to be on medications for the rest of my life. I may limp from this Valley Fever but I love running the perimeter of my backyard barking to alert my foster siblings that there's something on the other side of the fence. I adore the fact that my foster family has a dog-door but I'll wait patiently at a door to be let out too and the only thing I'll destroy are my squeaky toys (boy do I love those!) My foster mom was told that I'm about 8 years old and that I need to put on some more weight but I could do that with you if you think I'm the dog for you!
