My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joker is a one year old male rottweiler. He is very handsome. He currently lives with a male rottweiler and a female laberdoodle. He does okay with them. He does better with the rottie than with the girl. I think that is because the older male is more alpha. He would do great as a single dog as well.

Joker has been selected for a grant awarded by Dynamic Dog Training Az where he will be professionally trained using a remote collar. We are looking for a family who is open to learning this type of training so that they will follow through with the training he is about to receive. He will learn all his basic commands, and also learn the "place" command where he will go to a designated place and remain there until he is released. This command comes in very handy when you have guests come to your home, and you do not want your dog to greet them, sniff them in embarrassing places, and jump on them. It also works well when you have children in the house that are running around a bit crazy, and you need your dog to stay calm. He will also be trained on and off leash. On leash he will walk in a perfect heal and never pull you or become reactive to things around him. Off leash with the remote collar on so that he will listen and recall when told even if he encounters other things more interesting than you. This grant is valued at $1700 and it won't cost you a penny. Please check out Dynamicdogtrainingaz.com to learn more about the way he is being trained. If you are not committed to working with Joker after he has been trained that please do not apply. It would be a shame for us to have an amazing dog to offer and then him loose everything he will be taught because his new owner does not practice with him. His trainer will spend a couple of hours teaching you and your family how to continue with his training, and be there to answer any questions you have in the future. You will be required to purchase a mini educator remote collar for him which I believe costs about $180.00 plus his adoption fee which is $300. Also check out Dynamic Dog Training AZs Facebook page where Karen will be updating his progress as he goes through the program. Joker starts his training on 7/23 and should be done between august 7th through the 13th. Please fill out our adoption questionnaire located under the forms tab on www.rottenrottie.com if you are interested in meeting joker. He also walks on a treadmill!
