Winston's Story...
Welcome Winston. Winston is a 12 year old Mini Dachshund. He weighs about 10 pounds. Winston lost his owner in death and the man’s daughter couldn’t take Winston. CCPAL stepped up to help this little gem. He is the ultimate lap dog. He automatically likes men and takes to women more slowly. He loves to borough in the covers and would make an excellent lap buddy. The Dachshund breed is loyal to the core and he is good with other dogs. He isn’t much of a barker and low energy. This gem has about 5 more years to show love to a great family. He deserves a home and he will be an easy one to bring home. He is potty trained and good in a crate. This boy has all his vaccines, heartworm negative and neutered. He is ready to join a family. He would be great for a retired couple with older children and a quieter home. If you are looking for a loyal companion that is ADORABLE this is the one!! Please call Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to for an application. See his cute video too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Bedminster Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Bedminster, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Bedminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
