CORA's Story...
This beautiful young lady is Cora. She is only 6 months old and 22 pounds so just a little thing. It is hard to believe she could become lost at that tender age but she did on 07/18. She is micro-chipped but her people chose not to come get her when they were contacted. They did teach her some basic training, she will sit and lay down when told. She still needs to practice the command to stay but she is eager to please and will learn quickly. All she knows is that she wants out of a cage and back into a home with a soft bed and lots of toys. Cora is waiting to meet her new family in cage T-6 and her ID# is 598057.
She will be spayed(if not already) and tested for heart worms when adopted. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CORA, a Marietta Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
