Facts about Gemma

  • Breed: Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Gemma is a 7 year old sweetheart who is shy at first, but opens up into a gentle girl who deserves only the most loving of pats. This little girl loves to just nap on a comfy bed and play with her squeaky toys. Gemma was poorly socialized during her critical puppy years and due to that, she will need to go to a home without children. Gemma will need an adjustment period once she gets into her new home, but if you give her the chance to warm up and show her true self, you will definitely not be disappointed!

About Morgan County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

The Morgan Co. Humane Society is the only animal shelter located within our county. We provide a safe and loving environment for all homeless pets that enter our facility. We promote spay and neutering with public awareness and spay and neuter assistance and referals for those who need it. We also provide Animal Control and Rescue for Morgan Co. We are funded with donations from the public; a limited amount of income comes from our county. We could not do what we do without the help of many volunteers and generous donations to our shelter.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets are available for adoption at our shelter located at 690 W Mitchell St Martinsville, IN on M,T,TH, F & Sat 12-5pm. Sunday and Wednesday we are closed. Off site adoptions take place at Petsmart in Martinsville for cats, any time the store is open. Puppies and adult dogs are brought to various PetSmart (Including Martinsville, Greenwood, and Bloomington) on Saturdays for adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

Dog adoption fees starting at $115, puppy adoption fees starting at $150, cat/kitten adoption fees are $60: all fees include spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, a free physical, and 30 days of pet health insurance.

A preadoption form is required prior to adoption to ensure that the pet is a good match for the adopter. Adopter must agree to the terms and conditions on the adoption form. If at any time the adopter no longer wants the pet, adopter must agree to return the pet to MCHS.

All pets must be fixed prior to going home. No exceptions.
