Hi! I'm Gingersnap! I'm a two-year-old beagle-terrier mix, and I love everyone - dogs, cats, and YOU, if you'll let me!

The only thing I don't love is being by myself. I would do best in a home where my people are home most of the day and can give me the attention and little bit of exercise that I need. I can be a bit 'vocal' when left alone, so I probably wouldn't be a great neighbor to anyone living with shared wall space.

But do you know what helps me when I'm alone? Another dog friend! I would LOVE another, young dog in my family to play with me and give me comfort when you are gone. At two years old, I still have some puppy energy and like to play with my foster brother, but I mellow out pretty quickly after a good walk or play. When I'm worn out, I'm an excellent snuggler, and at around 40 pounds, I'm the perfect size for it!

I love my people so much that I can be a little protective when someone new shows up. So my new family would have to understand that I need a minute or so to recognize new people as new friends.

I'm a smart girl, too. I know how to sit on command, and would certainly learn a lot more if you'd teach me! Oh and have you seen my ears?! I'm not one to brag, but other people have told me that I'm adorable. They say I have a pretty great smile.

I do have a prescription that I need once a day, but it's affordable and totally worth it considering all of the love, snuggles, and kisses you'll get in return for inviting me into your family.

Gateway Pet Guardians is proud to offer a variety of mixed breed dogs available for adoption. However, please keep in mind that we rarely know the genetic background of the animals we rescue and, as such, we cannot guarantee the exact breed combinations found within this dog. Just know that this dog is probably a variety of several different breeds that have combined to create one very amazing and unique animal.
