Meet Betsy (get a load of those ears) 2 yr old Chihuahua who found herself in the shelter with her babies. Her pups have all been adopted thru the shelter system but mom was left behind wondering when it was her turn. Betsy is on the shy side and takes a little time to warm up to you but once she does she is very special. Because of her shyness in the shelter she wasn't getting adopted and they were going to euthanized her so that is when we stepped in to give this girl a chance. She is good with other dogs and will need a home with no small kids and someone that can help her learn what life is all about. She will be spayed, vaccinated and chipped prior to adoption. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info on this little girl and her big ears :)
Please go to our website, www.fourpawsrescue.org. Click on pet adoptions and a drop down menu with our adoption application will be there. Complete and submit the application.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations. All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. You must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an approved adoption application on file before we release their contact information. All of our dogs are (spayed/neutered), micro chipped and up to date on their vaccines.
We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a good fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog, Pure-breeds adoption fee will vary.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. We have a three step process to adopt one of our dogs. After the home inspection is completed and if we feel their are any other concerns, the final decision will be made by our board of directors. Please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is placed with the new adoptive family in their home.
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact Rebecca at 619-851-1129 or Debbie at 619-283-1364.
