Facts about XOLI

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Demure and coy, 2 ½-year-old Xoli is also very independent and reserved and, at times, anxious. Her periods of socialization and the various environments she has been in have shaped her personality. She is at her calmest when tucked into her kennel--safe, warm, and secure--where she can watch all that is going on. Out in the yards, she will pace. If you are out in the yards with her, she will sit briefly by you and allow herself to receive attention. Xoli is receptive to a loving hand, but she does not allow herself to relax and give in completely. She is a beautiful 32-pound brindle Pit Bull mix with soulful eyes. Xoli will need a forever home where she is the only pet, and preferably there will be no children. She is housetrained and crate trained. She prefers women and she will need a quiet home with a consistent routine. The Xoli view of the world can be shaped; it will take patience, time, love, and lots of encouragement. Providing Xoli the life she deserves will be a very rewarding experience. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.

About Home Fur Good

About Our Shelter...

Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.

We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Go to www.homefurgood.org to see where you can meet our available pets.

We do adoptions from shelter every Thursday 11:30am to 3:30 pm and we are at Petsmart Tatum and Shea every weekend; Fri. 1:00 - 6:00, Sat. & Sun. 10:30 - 4:30. Please check our website for more specifics.

Our Adoption Process...

Home Fur Good requires an approved application. We have trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$275 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and come with 30 days of pet health insurance.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.
