Gemma was surrendered back to PAWS on 7/12/17 after being adopted out for 9 months. They just did not feel that their home was a good fit for Gemma. She seemed scared all the time because they have kids and it was not a very quite home. Her previous adopter believes she would do best in a home all by herself with possibly an older couple or single person. She just seems to jump and be scared of every little noise. She is extremely sweet, loving, playful and loves attention. She will for some reason pee and poop on your beds, so be sure to keep bedroom doors closed. This was an issue in her other adopter's home as well and no one can figure out the issue. They had two other cats in the home and Gemma did fine with the female, but would attack the male cat out of fear. She loves to play with small cat toy balls and spends her time inside.

About PAWS Humane

About Our Rescue Group...

PAWS Columbus, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent overpopulation and suffering of companion animals, to teach kindness and responsibility toward them, and to promote the remarkable capacity of pets to enrich human lives through pet-assisted therapy programs. We work in partnership with the City of Columbus to enhance and supplement the services offered by Animal Care and Control, reduce the need for euthanasia of unwanted animals because of severe pet overpopulation and find a loving and compatible forever home for every adoptable animal. PAWS is supported by private contributions from the citizens of our community. We are People Helping Animals, Animals Helping People.

Setting higher fees for some animals enables us the ability to put funds towards our elderly and "special needs" animals that would otherwise not make it.

Adoption fees include:

Age Appropriate Immunizations
Rabies
Disease Appropriate Testing
