Facts about Beatrix (Pregnant)

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 45132
  • Hair: Short
Beatrix is a lovely 2-year old female kitty who was brought to the HSOV on July 22, 2017 along with her companion (Bridget Jones) after they were found in the Marietta Ohio area. These beautiful girls will soon be hearing the soft meows of newborn kittens since (sigh) they are both pregnant.

Beatrix has a brown tabby short smooth coat with orange/bronze highlights, a long tail, and a very pretty face with pale green eyes. This sweet mother-to-be has a quiet, rather reserved personality and is quite friendly.

Beatrix currently weighs 7.8 lbs. She was given pyrantel wormer the day she arrived but will not be vaccinated until after her kittens are born.

We are looking for a foster family or a rescue who would be willing to give Beatrix a safe quiet environment where she could give birth to her kittens and raise them in a real home instead of a small shelter cage.

Please contact the HSOV (740.373.5959) if you would be interested in fostering Beatrix (or another shelter cat who needs help). We encourage you to complete an HSOV Foster Application and submit for approval if you'd like to join our foster kitty team :)

Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.
