Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Dexter. Dexter is the most affectionate and loving dog we have ever met. He is approximately a year and a half, 11 pound Chihuahua mix with a beautiful brindle coat. He came to Walk Me Home Rescue Group from Moreno Valley Humane society euthanasia list.
He is very submissive and scared at first but within a few days of being with his foster home with 2 or 3 other dogs he really has come out of his shell. His foster home also has children but it is recommended to a home with children that are older than 10 that are not as loud and crazy as toddlers. Or is a great companion dog for elderly.
He is potty trained and currently sleeping in a crate at night by himself or with other fosters that need bunkmates. He loves his humans though! Literally. He uses his paws to hug and hold you. Cuddle up under your neck and on your shoulder with lots of kisses and enjoys being on the couch or bed with you. He doesn't bark much unless he feels threatened or is trying to protect his home.
The one thing he may need work with is leash training. He is not comfortable walking on a leash but loves going places in your arms or dog purse which is ok for some families 😊
