Elmer's Story...
what a handsome and sweet boy!

Elmer is a happy wiggly Lab puppy.

He was surrendered to a DFW emergency veterinarian because he was ill and they asked for him to be euthanized. Fortunately for Elmer, his veterinarians had hope and knew he had a treatable condition that resulted because he had not been vaccinated and contacted TSBR to take him on.

We are so glad that they did - what a handsome and sweet boy!

Elmer has overcome his illness now and is moving to a foster home where he will spend a little more time recovering. There should be no long term health concerns as a result of his illness.

Elmer is learning manors and crate training and LOVES to romp, play, and of course cuddle.

Elmer will be available to meet prospective adopters beginning on April 24th (subject to change).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elmer, a Denton Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Denton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Denton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denton paves the way for another one to be saved.
