My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Sammy. We are calling his breed mix a spaniel / Terrier mix - just a guess. We think he is about 3 to 4 yrs old and he currently weighs about 20 lbs. Sammy has got a good outlook on life; always a happy camper. He is friendly with everyone he meets. This little fellow was definitely someone's good dog. When it is time to go for a ride in the car, he climbs right in and is all happy and set to go!

Sammy is crate trained and keeps his crate clean and dry. It is possible that he might be housetrained - we are just not sure yet. He loves to go for a walk and he is a pleasure to walk on a leash.

We rescued Sammy from a shelter in our area. When he came into the shelter he had a pretty long, matted coat. The shelter had him groomed down to the Sammy you see in the photos. Oh so much more comfortable for him for the hot weather! We mention this to let you know that Sammy is the type of dog that requires regular grooming for his coat that grows out.

Mr Happy Pants Sammy is neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped. He is also a pretty quiet little guy; not a big barker at all. We would love to find this nice little boy a great home; he sooooo deserves a second chance at a happy life! He does just fine with the 5 other small breed dogs he was sharing in his kennel at the shelter and he does fine with our other small breed foster dogs too. He seems to ignore our little foster kitten and pays no attention to the cats we see when we are out walking.
