I'm sure you are thinking, who is that stunning dude with the blue eye, right? It's me, Astro! I'm a super sweet 1 year old guy who is as sweet as any dog you will ever meet. My blue eye and young age may have you thinking that I'm an adolescent party animal, but that couldn't be further from the truth. My foster home consists of a sweet married couple and their young son. I have had a ton of time to hang out with their son since it's the summer and we get along great! They also have two dogs that I'm very well behaved with. One is a senior who I'm respectful enough to be sweet to and not bother. The other is a young dog way bigger than me and we love to play in the yard. I do great on a leash and I don't pull at all. Even my buddy, the fosters young son, takes me for walks with supervision. I also drive great in a car and I don't jump all over when we are on our way to new adventures. I have done great not having any accidents in the house and I don't contest to down time in my kennel. If you are looking for a fun guy who can get along with every dog, make you smile when you get home from work, and a dog to cuddle hard with, I'm your guy. I'm not trying to brag but I'm pretty awesome and won't be around forever. Get that application in now so we can be close to sleeping in on the weekends and having pizza parties soon.
All of our pets start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.
In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis is $300.00. The $300.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area.

We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
