My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rito is an incredibly sweet, loving and playful, six-year-old, 12-pound (skinny), male Rat Terrier/Feist-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Little Rito makes himself at home very quickly. He loves everyone he meets including people, dogs and cats. He’s bonds quickly and lovingly.

He enjoys being held in your arms, snuggling on your pillow at night, and going for long walks and rides in the car. He also loves running with other dogs. He knows the command sit and will dance for treats. He totally ignores and co-mingles nicely with cats.

Rito is perfectly housebroken and well-behaved in the home. He hangs out with his favorite humans and loves curling up in a ball in a dog bed or on the couch.

He’s got a big voice when necessary, so he’s probably best in a home versus an apartment or condo.

He came into rescue over a month ago and his original human was never found. When found, he was not wearing tags and he was not micro-chipped.

He has now been micro-chipped. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm and fecal-tested. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits.

To meet and possibly adopt Rito, please sheri@petraits.com for an adoption application.
