Koa's Story...
Koa is a 9 week old, Shepherd/Heeler/who knows?

Koa was found with his siblings in a box outside a New Mexico shelter one morning. They were so young, way too young to be separated from their mom. We found them a quick transport to CO with a foster mom who would take wonderful care of them.

It has now been a month, and they are finally ready for adoption. They have been in the best foster home ever! The foster had a dog that took them under her wing right away, and really mothered them. They are all such great puppies! They already know how to use the dog door, and seem to have pottying outside pretty much down! They will obviously still need training, but they are so smart and such great little dog.

We believe they will be about 35-45lbs full grown.
If you are interested in adopting Koa or one of his siblings, please email us at brighterdaysdogrescue@gmail.com for an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Koa, a Boulder Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
