Jax is a funny little imp of a dog all wrapped up on a fun-sized 30lb package. He's incredibly bright and has a great sense of humor. He's about two years old, crate trained, walks well on a leash and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Jax has moderate energy with a wonderful on-off switch. If it's time to go for a run, Jax is up and ready to go. If it's time to chill, Jax flips his switch and chills with the best of 'em. This happy little guy is about a year old, doing great with his housebreaking and loves having a foster who teaches him all kinds of new things. Jax loves a game of Chase the Squirrel, so while he tested just fine with cats in the shelter, we're pretty sure kitty would not appreciate having Jax as a housemate. Kids? You bet, he loves them! Jax is hanging out polishing up his good boy manners at a rapid pace, just waiting for you to come along and discover him. Does this look like your kind of adventure buddy? Email sotb.adoptions@gmail.com to find out more about Jax!

Our adoption fee is $225. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Approval Process for South of the Bully

• An Adoption Application must be completed and approved. We call and check vet references to make sure any current pets are up to date with vaccinations and check length of time under vet care. We review all their current pets and ask questions about their temperament to make sure the dog they want to adopt would be a good fit.

• If a dog has been chosen, a meet and greet is arranged if requested AFTER the application is approved. If they have other pets, we also like them to meet at this time, if possible.

• The final step is a home visit. If the home visit is approved the potential adopters can begin their 14 day trial adoption period. Our adoption fee is $195 which includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations and microchip. If for some reason the dog isn’t a fit in their home we refund $95 of the adoption fee within the 14 day trial period. This is all listed in our Adoption Contract.

• We offer training support and resources for the lifetime of the dog once adopted. Our contract states that if for any reason they cannot continue to provide care for one of our dogs that it be returned to our rescue.
