Hinky's Story...
Hinky & Pinky were dumped in the drop off pen with a note saying, "Our Aussie had an accident and we cant find homes for these two". Well, their safe now and ready to find their forever families that will think they are a blessing not an accident. They do not have to be adopted together. They will just be eight-weeks-old in time for transport so, they are not housebroken but are learning to use a pee pad. They are being crate trained and dragging leashes to better help them walk on one for their new families.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hinky, a Sylacauga Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sylacauga, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Sylacauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sylacauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sylacauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sylacauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
