Carly came to The Rescue back in May 2016. We were at Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center pulling another dog, when Carly caught our eye. Just so happened that earlier that day we saw her photo on Rescue Me Tampa's facebook page stating that today was her last day and she would be euthanized for space. When we got there a gentleman was looking at her and we told him
that if she wasn't adopted today she would be euthanized. He said "Oh we can't have that. I'll take her". AWESOME, right?! Not so much... About that time the dog that we were picking up was ready to be signed out so we said our goodbyes and left. All night long we had this feeling in our gut about her. So the next morning we searched the news feed and couldn't find anything. We couldn't take it anymore and we got back in the truck and headed back over to Hillsborough. Sure enough there she was. Literally doing somersaults in her run. (She is such a show off) There was no way we were leaving without her, so we took her home and she's been waiting for her forever family ever since!

About Ruff Beginnings, Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all breed dog rescue based out of west central Florida. We are strictly foster based, which means we do not have a physical shelter. All our rescues are in homes with families until they are adopted to their forever homes. All of us here part of the RBR Family have life long passions of helping to save animals. We do this because we want to make a difference and save as many as we can in our life time. If you are unable to adopt, but are interested in fostering, the rescue does pay for everything!! Without Fosters, we can't keep saving!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We list all our adoption events on our facebook page.

Our Adoption Process...

Before any adoptions, we require anyone interested in adopting one of our pups to foster for at least 1 week to ensure they are all the right fit for each other. Prior to this foster period, they will be required to fill out a foster-to-adopt agreement as well as an adoption application. Submitting an application or even taking one of our dogs for a foster-to-adopt period DOES NOT guarantee you will be approved. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason if we do not feel the pet you are interested in is the best match for you. We also require that at anytime during our adoptables life, should the new owner be unable to keep and or care for them, they are returned to the rescue immediately.
