My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Can you say majestic?

Louis is a one year old red doll faced Persian/Maine Coon mix. This boy is huge. He has a big face, he has big paws, he has a big head, and he has a big heart. He is as sweet as he is precious, but he is a young boy, which means that he can play a little rough and that he can occasionally be a little grumpy right before he gives you kisses :-).

Louis came from a pet store in Kuwait, where he was kept and a very small cage and without proper care. Our Kuwaiti allies send him here so that we could find him the perfect home, and that is what we will be looking for.

Louis does need to go to a home with no small children. Other than that, he would probably be fine in any home. He is an outgoing boy, and we would prefer that he go to a home with another young cat or kitten to play with, although he does not have to go to a home with another cat. Unlike most of our young cats, Louis can take or leave feline companionship. What he cannot leave is human companionship :-).

If you were interested in adopting this amazing boy from Kuwait, please contact us at Merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com for an application. He is in a foster home in Ennis, Texas. His adoption fee is $225.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.

Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.

YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
